Hello my dear friends, I have made an appointment with the lap band doc it will be within the month, If I had waited for the public system I would have had a 3 plus year wait, so I am going through the private system using my superannuation, it is going to cost me $7500 and as soon as I can get the money He will do it. I went to see a cardiologist as I have a racing heart beat and he told me that I have autonomic neuropathy and there is nothing I can do about it, but he also said that I now have coronary micro-vascular disease and put me on blood thinners, and it doesnt end there he also said that I have been having mini strokes. It just seems like everytime you turn the corner there is something else wrong, I am still trying to smile and think about the good times ahead of me, but it is getting harder

Stop whining! I told you if you came to VA, I could do this out in the barn and it would be over in an hour. I don't have any stainless steel bands, but I do have copper bands that I use for PEX piping. They should work. Better make your reservations soon as the slots are filling up. wish you the best, my friend.

Jim will be using COPPER bands. We used copper in our pond to clear up the algae. So the copper may not be good for a long life Relly.

yeah, oh and if you came over to USA you'd be putting yourself in danger of getting dumped on by those flying buffalos.

I know how you feel. I am at 300, but I really don't think another surgery is in my future. I had my right knee replaced twice because I developed infection in it. The 16th of Oct. last year I went in and had the left one done, that night I went to sleep and they couldn't wake me up. I sleep 36 hrs., they said it had something to do with my severe sleep apnea and the med's that they gave me for pain and putting me out for the surgery. When I came to, my heart was sending out PVC's. I was supposed to be in for 3 days and I ended up in there for 6 days. They only allowed me to go then because I was going to a rest home to recover. Like you said you keep trying to smile it does help and before long there won't be any trying to it, you'll do it without thinking about it. I will try and come on every day and I will read what you have to say. We can do this together. You are loved not only by us here on the site but God also loves you. I will be praying for you. Jayne

God Bless you, I pray that you will be able to have the surgery! My oldest brother had not the lap but the bypass done when he was hitting 500 lbs. He lost over 300 lbs in 2 yrs! When I saw him at my mom's wake, he looked so great, he said he was feeling so much better, has less SOB, no longer needed O2 or a walker. He used a cane. I have been thinking for yrs to get the bypass done, but in order to have it done I have to drive 2 hours away from where I live just to see a doctor. Without a car, it's not easy to do. I should have had it done when I was still living in SC. I would love to follow you on this and see how your outcome is.

I have a feeling that once you get this done you will feel so much better. I would get a 2nd opinion on the problems with your heart.

God Bless and God Speed!

Hi, Rellypoo,
Sure sounds like you continue to have a lot going on with your health. So sorry, cause it's sounding rather complicated. I do think with weight loss you may see a reduction in the other symptoms, so hope it can happen soon. Wishing you you better days when you can again go camping and visit those beautiful spots you occasionally show us in your pictures.

For some reason your maker wants you stronger for something, otherwise he/she would have taken you out by now. Prayers being said that you can rise to the coming challenges and benefit whatever rewards these trials are for.

Howdy Relly! It never seems to rain except when it POURS! I am praying you can get your problems managed well, at least.

I have had the ministrokes (TIAs) myself too. Perhaps that explains in small part just how I think! (LoL!).

Thought you might like to know that my health woes continue as well. Feb 8th I returned to Dialysis after an absence of treatments of about 6 yrs. See the discussion here ~

Continuing in prayer for you

Oh dear, I'm sorry that your system takes so long- maybe they should have been proactive and seen that you were trying to better your health! That's alot of money to pay out, but if it works and you do better and are more healthy then it's worth it in the long run.
I'm sad to hear about all your other issues as well, but I'd bet that with the weight loss from the lap band, some of these other things may resolve themselves.
I am keeping my fingers croosed for you and keep us posted on your progress as you can :)
