I have found a great morning way to use turmeric. I use my coffee maker and put a filter in. I put about 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric and the same of ground cinnamon. I run it through my coffee maker just like making coffee or tea. The result is a sludge free tea that is really GOOD. I add a little truvia to it and I am good to go. I drink it every day now along with my almond milk with turmeric in it. Finally, I have found a successful way to get it into my diet daily.

I tried some of my fresh ground turmeric in my almond milk this morning and I was surprised at how much I liked it. Tonight I made a turmeric and cinnamon tea for dinner. I like that too...Yeah!! I have a huge turmeric plant in my garden and need to harvest and dehydrate it.

Do you use powdered turmeric or fresh for your milk?

Gabby,
Regarding fresh VS powdered turmeric, I've never had the fresh kind. You previously mentioned dehydrating some fresh. Then you grind it? When you do that, is there a big difference in taste between what you make and the commercial kind I find in "shaker" bottles in the grocery store?

Also, the fresh turmeric, is there a way to eat that? Cooked, raw, etc.?
