As many of you have found, when you add a profile photo more people reach out to you and others are more likely to accept your friends invitations.

John and I decided to make it fun, so if you add a profile picture you will be entered to win (1) $50 Visa Gift Card and (5) copies of Know Your Numbers, Outlive Your Diabetes by Richard Jackson, MD and Amy Tenderich, our community manager.

The names will be drawn June 1 and the winners will be notified. We'll even post a list of winners in the Discussions.

Ps. Don't worry. If you have already uploaded a profile pic, you will automatically be entered to win.

To be eligible all you have to do is add a profile picture.
(The profile picture can be of you or of anything that represents your
personality, likes, or interests.)

Step one is to find the image you want to use and save it on your computer.

Step two is login to your Diabetic Connect account. (The login button is in the
upper right corner of every page.)

Step three is to go to your profile page. (The link to your profile is also at
the top of each page next to the friends, privacy manager, and inbox links.)

On your profile page, click the link under the green default image that says
"Update Your Profile Picture."

Under the instruction line "Select a file from your computer," look for and click on the "Browse" button. This will open a little window that allows you to
look at the files on your computer. Locate the image you want to add to your profile and click the "Open" button.

The small window will close and you'll be back on the profile picture page. You need to click the box certifying that you are have the rights to distribute the
picture (in other words, it's your image) and that it doesn't violate the terms of use of the site. Then click the upload picture button.

If everything has worked correctly, you should see your picture appear at the left side under the "Current Profile Picture" heading.

If you have questions, post them here and we'll answer.
