Over the past year my A1c has risen with every lab check. What am I doing wrong? How can I curb or better still reduce this lab test? I am currently up to 7.6
Additionally I just QUIT SMOKING (Yeah) after 43 years. I have already started gaining weight and my body does not cooperate when I try to exercise. (Even walking is a task for me). How can I curb my never ending appetite? If I go longer than 3Hrs between consuming food, I suffer with digestive upset.
I am maxed out on Metformin and Amaryl. I was taking NPH Insulin at bedtime. On my most recent check-up my Insulin has been split to AM and bedtime.
