I'm 17 and have been diagnosed with metabolic syndrome which is the same as type 2 except I have my own perfect numbers we have discovered that my numbers are between 78 and 85 not a whole lot of wiggle room but we are working with it. I'm getting used to making changes and keeping up with my levels and hopefully things will get better soon. I'm so happy I found this site where I can have support. :)

I just did a quick Internet search on metabolic syndrome … It is a set of risk factors that increase your chances for various ailments including type two diabetes … It is not the same as type two diabetes … Go ahead and google metabolic syndrome and you will have access to a lot of information …

What are those #'s 78-85 ??? Are those your average's or something else , just trying to understand your post … Been diabetic for 11 years but still learning …

@manapua72 Yes they are my average BG levels. What I meant by saying that it was the same was I have the same symptoms at least personally. I even have something that I'm not sure what its called but it's where your skin gets dark in places like your neck and knuckles… My doctor told me what it was but I don't remember. He was actually surprised when I came back negative for type 2.
