For those of you who like to cook, eat Indian food, is thee a way I can make rasmalai without using lime juice? I am allergic to citric acid.

I found a recipe for Ras Malai it uses vinegar in place of lime juice. I will post here don't know if you can have vinegar. Here is the recipe : http://cookerycorner.blogspot.com/2008/06/ras...

If it’s the same Ras Malai I’m thinking of, you need either lemon or lime juice (or some citric acid) to get the milk to curdle and make the Paneer (if you’re making it from scratch). Usually not much, 1/2t to 1T of juice to 4 cups milk. Depending on how sensitive you are, it might not affect you if you can tolerate cottage cheese since it’s basically the same thing.

sorry, not able to find a recipe for Rasmaili without citric acid of some kind. There were recipes which used lemon juice, but that contains citric acid.
