Weight loss is a tricky business. It is affected by hormones, including stress, thyroid and even lack of sleep. Increasing your exercise is great and following a good diet given by a dietician or your health care team is good. It's not just calories, but the quality of our food and also portion control. Make sure your thyroid gets checked as well. Weight training also helps burn fat more efficiently if you can incorporate into your routine as advised by your own health acre team… Good luck and keep up the great work!

There is a website much like Diabetic Connect called Obesity Connect. Go to the upper header and mouseover "visit another communty". You'll see Obesity om tje drop down. clidk on that and login using your DC login info. You may get some tips from the folks there.

many of the same people from DC are there, plus some others. I still have a profile there, though I rarely go there, since I lost a lot of weight with my personal meal plan.

What are you doing? I joined weight watchers a few weeks ago and I'm already down 6 pounds. I also walk 1-3 miles everyday after work. Try to incorporate walks in if you don't like to run. Try Map My Walk app. I love it. Also, pay more attention to what you are eating and do smaller portion sizes. Are you drinking enough water? If you drink water before a meal you are more likely to eat less.

I wish I could like a 100 times. You go girl. Walking is very important. When I became diabetic. They had me get a pedometer. I got a cheap one. Bad idea. Then I got a good one. Where you measured your stride. It is awesome. I wear it daily. The goal is to walk 10,000 steps. And if you are trying to lose weight, walk slow, then fast. walk slow this is to start. And then walk slow and walk fast, walk fast, walk slow. Amazing how this works. Water Water and more water. Weight Watcher is awesome. Also Quick weight loss centers. They are really good too. It is a lifestyle change not a diet.
