Personally I really love the OneTouch series. I've had a TON of them. OneTouch Ultra 2, Ultra 2 Mini, and the newer Verio system. No coding needed, batteries last forever and the Verio latest model is rechargeable plus comes with a built in LED light for dim test-taking conditions.

You can get one for free if you go to their website. Ask your Endocrinologist or Diabetic doctor they usually have free ones. Plus their One Touch Delica lancing system, they're like baby needles. No more bruises or pain. I don't even mind testing anymore.

Thanks. I found one that I can plug into an iPod and it records my levels. It gonna be hard getting used to strips again. My old tester didn't need strips. And yes I am in Australia.

Most meters are good … Are you going on line to purchase or to a local pharmacy ??? What is available here in the US , or Canada may be different from what you can get locally in Australia , I believe you said that's where you are from ??? I think you should be able to get one or even more meters free its the test strips that will cost you … Many meters out there most are good hope you find one you like … I used one touch meters for years , I now use Bayer meters …
