I have been a diabetic for a whole two months. I have had polio neurapthy in both of my feet for a long time. It effects my good leg and foot the most. The left leg barely has it.I think this is because it is paralized. I have gastroparesis of my stomach (paralized stomach). I have had this for almost 30yrs. This to is caused from polio. I don't know what to expect from the diabetis if I already have these problems. I just saw a heart doctor who ran all the tests and said my heart has no plaque build up. He said I don't expect to see you again. So that takes care of the heart for awhile. I'm in pain 24/7 and use fentanyl at 50mg and oxycoden for break through. Today I'm feeling tired and out of focus and having a pitty party. I only give myself permission for a pitty party once in awhile. Is anyone else having these problems that are caused by other health problem or polio. I feel lost in this world of
Also I have polio foggy brain. I can't remember puncuation or how to spell words properly. My husband is my dictionary. Anyway that how I'm feeling today.

i am pre-diabetic,or metobolic syndrome, depends on who is talking. i have had cataract surgery on both eyes and am having problems in the left one now, also have mitral valve prolaspe and polyneuropathy in my legs, feet, hands, and arms. some days i just can't think straight and even with depression meds. i feel depressed an overwhelmed at times. i understand a person having pity parties, i don't think you would be normal if you didn't. but remember tommorow is another day. maybe it will be better!

Thank You for posting. My husband is pre-diabetic. He eats the same diet that i eat. What do you do about your metabolic syndrum? I'm sorry that you are having so many problems from it. I think that that my hands are starting to have nerapathy. A little tingling in especialy the right hand. Yes I know that we have to take each day as it comes. I'm feeling better today. Thank you for your support.

my sugars don't get high enough for them to say i have type 2, but i am getting all the compilcations that go with diabetes. when i asked my doctor why , he said it was just my bad luck! i walk once a day ,when i can and i take neurontin for the polyneuropathy. your husband will have better luck than me. i was born under a black cloud, nasty business that! i do try to keep my sense of humour, but i am somewhat strange in what i find is funny! lol!!!
