Hey everyone!

We are participating in this year's Diabetes Art Day and have a post up over on DiabetesMine. A local pinstriping artist actually created this Diabetes Awareness piece, and he's someone who is actually living with "pre-diabetes" himself. You have the chance to not only read about his story, but also win this artwork and also help donate to a local diabetes charity in Indianapolis.

Take a look at our blog post today at:

If this is a charitable event, I want to know what charity this is sponsering, and what your goal is, if money is envolved. I saw that. You can't be to careful nowadays with scams and all happening every where.

Hey! You're right.. you can't be too cautious these days. The details are in the post, and you can easily click on the links to find out more info. It's the Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana, which is a non-profit that helps send children with diabetes to a local camp. I've been a board member on this org for a few years now. And this auction is a fundraiser, so I'm basically donating my own money to the charity and doing it in the name of whoever wins the giveaway to get that D-Art.

I never knew there was an event like this. Very cool, some of that artwork is really neat. I love the pinstripe piece. Sweet.

D-Art Day is now in its 4th year. Diabetes Blogger Lee Ann Thill created it back in 2010. There are an incredible numbers of blogs and fellow diabetics participating, and the day is still young! Would love to see any art you might have on the mind, Gabby, and anyone for that matter!! I'm still creating some on this end… spilled coffee on my desk calendar earlier, and someone on twitter suggested sprinkling test strips over it to make it an artwork - awesome times!
