Ravens or 49ers? Who will you be rooting for? Well in all the fun, don't forget to root for yourself and a successful game day. I found this article with some tips on how to make it through the Super Bowl with your levels in tact.

CHICAGO, IL — January 24, 2012 — The news of celebrity chef Paula Deen having diabetes has triggered a national conversation about how diet affects people with diabetes or those who are at risk of getting it.

And, with the Big Game right around the corner… hosting or attending a party and being tempted with a large number of "unhealthy" foods can can be particularly hard for people with diabetes trying to make healthy choices.

However, if people with diabetes follow these strategies and recipes created by the American Association of Diabetes Educators, they can maintain blood sugar levels and enjoy the party along with everyone else. In fact, managing diabetes is often an exercise in moderation and planning, more than anything else.

Visit the online guide with recipes for turkey chili, chicken tenders and roasted red pepper dip at http://www.diabeteseducator.org/export/sites/...

And, get ready for the party by making a Healthy Eating Game Plan.

Here are five tips for Game Day:

1. Don't play on an empty stomach.

Eat a small, balanced meal or snack before you leave home for the game. If you arrive at a party hungry, you'll be more likely to overindulge.

2. Examine the playing field.

Study ALL of the selections, and think about what you are going to have before you put anything on your plate.

If you taste something that you don't enjoy, leave it on your plate-don't finish it!

3. Focus on the fundamentals.

I was rooting for both :) I think though by having more things like cheese and less carb heavy things like the appetizers I did well by avoiding any spikes

Ms. Dat I think true fans are more than likely going to pay more attention to the game than what they will be eating. There is a local supermarket here that is privately owned. The owner is a staunch Ravens fan. All this week he has refused to have anything in his store that is .49 cents so if any item was .49 or 1.49 for example it was changed to .48.

lol!!! Well here in Cali a lot of effort goes into eating too as the game is watched. I have received an invite to Chili's to watch the game with a free coupon for boneless chicken wings-well with a purchase of an entree such as mini hamburgers! I think I will have a front row seat just to be apart of the Super Bowl fun! Cheers!

I live within walking distance to the Ravens Stadium, the dome on City Hall is Purple, Ray Lewis is dancing in a laser light show on the side of the Marriott Hotel, the Ravens Logo has been spray painted every where and we have Purple Friday from the beginning of Football Season to the very end. I have my "Ball So Hard University Shirt" and Hey Diddle Diddle Ray Rice Down the Middle on my save screen and wearing my Ray Lewis jersey. I would do the Ray Lewis dance but you can't see it…(that could be a good thing)…lol. I just want to say GOOOO RAVENS!!!

Sunday is my free day so I will eat what I normally eat plus a special Game Day treat. I have not decided what that will be. More than likely a purple cupcake or cookie. We have plenty of those all over the city. Other than that the only other thing I plan on doing is tormenting my cousin by texting him about the Ravens in the Superbowl and the Redskins watching.

Everyone have fun no matter your favorite team. Good luck to both teams.

They have them with purple cake and black frosting and black cake with purple frosting. One bakery even has cookies with Ray Lewis on them and black and white edging. One restaurant even had Purple Hamburgers. Don't think I would eat one of those. Our Police Department did a video message to the San Fran Police department. I think most of the residents in the city has Ravens Fever.

CJ have fun in Atlantic City. Haven't been there in years and I am 3 hours away. Of course I am cheering for the Ravens. As a Baltimorean I won't have it any other way.

LOL I am a 14 hour drive from Atlantic City.. However I have been a 49ers fan since birth.. my entire family is. Since my hubby lived in DC for a very long time, he is a Redskins fan and Oreoles fan. I am not sure who he wants to win the superbowl. Have fun and enjoy the game…

I have friends who are upset the Packers are not in it. ME? I could not care less. For me it is really a non-event. Gonna go to the supermarket while the game is on since everyone else will be glued to the TV or at the Sportsbooks here in LV
