I understand that exercise is good for lowering type 2 blood glucose levels. But the question I have is, is it better to exercise before you eat or after you eat? And also is there a time frame i.e. 30 mins before/after.
Any advice?

As many have said, it will vary from person to person and even on the type of exercise you are doing.

What I found that works for me is after dinner walks. I used to do it in the morning to try to get my staring levels down, but it just seemed to raise my numbers. I found that I have better level results if I exercise for about 30-45 minutes after my last meal.

For me when I get the chance to exercise, I do after I eat. My blood sugar drops while I exercise. There are some where blood sugar rises while they exercise. Monitor yourself to see which category you fit in.

I pretty much agree with pixsidust. I personally like to have an apple or a smoothie - 1/4 banana
1 spoon peanutbutter sprinkle some cinnamon ice cubes and soy almond milk( sometimes I blend pistachios as well) dam I want one now lmao

For many of us the ability to exercise is limited. I have good days and bad Some days I walk better than others. Depending on your situation, any time is good if you are able. Just doing it in any capacity is great.

If you are exercising to lose weight, then either morning before you eat or 3- 4 hours after you eat if later. The rule of thumb is to wait an hour afterwards before you eat. The reasoning is that you will burn fat vs calories from a recent meal. Thus the one hour wait afterwards as well. Really need to watch your blood sugar with any exercise.

I have found that it usually works best for me if I exercise in the morning after I eat breakfast

Hi Lyn… I think you'll find that everyone has a tendency to be a little different. In my case I wait about 30-45 minutes after I eat my meal. That seems to work best for me. I usually test afterwards too, just to make sure I haven't gone too low if the meal was a little lighter. And it definitely does help to lower your numbers!
