So upset

I have been a Type 2 Diabetic for over 10 years.My blood sugar is still high it was 189 in the morning.Doctor keeps changing my medication.I take my medication.Am on a strict diet.I have two grown up children still at home.They don't care what happens to me.I have one kidney and I am disabled.I write to penpals by snail mail.I need some friends to talk to or write to.

Hi Yumyum and welcome DC! This is right the palce to connect with others, for sure! Sorry to hear that you're having a hard time, along with the added stress of the kids still at home. What kinds of meds do you currently take? Maybe you could talk to your doctor about adding a basal (background) insulin to your meds to help bring down your morning numbers. It could be the combination of added stress, being less active from your disability and of course, aging, is affecting your system more now and your meds are just not as effective as before.
