I was told recently when I met with a Diabetic Ed. That if I ate too little my sugar will go up. They said the body release more sugar when u are not eating enough. I've always my levels to go down when I don't eat enough.

The only thing I could think of is if she was referring to gluconeogenesis. Simply put, when your sugar goes below a certain point, the liver releases glucose in response to prevent dangerously low sugars. This can cause sugars to go up. Other than that, I can't think of anything. This applies to diabetics who are Type 2 more than type 1 and is related more to the type of med that you are on, than the actual food itself (a type 1 has a compromised response to gluconeogenesis).
