I am really serious about getting myself back on track to have more energy to enjoy my life. I have started exercising, eating more vegetables and started taking the PGX fiber pills again after lunch & dinner. I am starting out SLOW in everthing You can work up to 2-3 PGX pills before each meal and it really does work. It helps to make you feel more full throughout the day. I just hate adding more pills to what I already take, but it is a good way to add fiber to my diet which is really important. Has anyone else tried this fiber?

If your eating enough fruits and vegetables you may not need those pills. Be careful of what you put into your body. with all our hardwork to keep healthy you don't want to mess it up by taking something you don't need. Make sure you are drinking lots of water with those pills.

I had not heard anything about PGX fiber until you mentioned it, EJ. from what I read about it, the fiber seems interesting.

However, I do prefer getting my fiber through the foods I consume. There are nutrients in vegetables and fruits that I am guessing are not in PGX.

I looked it up and found this on eHow ~

perhaps PGX might be temporally OK for weight loss, but good nutrition is the gold standard in self care.

EDIT: iI just clicked on a link on the E how article on PGX I hadn't noticed previously about the side effects of PGX. you can find the side effects of using it here ~

Thanks for the info, James. I do need to lose about 30 lbs. and have found it difficult. Maybe I can finally lose that extra weight with this fiber. I'll let you know how it affects my BG levels after meals. Mine have been real high about 4 hours after eating. Hope this helps.
