Ok I'm trying to use the log book offered on this site but it seems like I can't log in if my blood sugar is over 400. I was at 568 last nite n it wouldn't take that number in the log. Once you pass 400 it will come up as 56 or any other double digit. I need to be able to log in higher than 400+. Am I doing something wrong?

Ask about the Symlin pen. That might help. You use it before every meal with insulin. Also, make sure there are no kinks in the line. What insulin do you use? Are you on the pump? Also look up the Paleo diet. That might help also.

We have looked into this issue. It appears that this is an error with the app. If you try to submit a blood sugar above 400 it doesn't allow it. We have our tech team working on this. In the meantime, you should be able to submit it from the website.

What are you eating? What one eats has a lot to do with how our Blood Glucose (BG) levels are. Also are you taking any medications like prednisone pills or cortisosteroid shots. There are others which raise one's BG levels but I don't remember where to find that list.

EDIT: My 2nd wife had BGs in the 600s a couple of times (her meter just said "Hi") and we were instructed by the nurse on call to go to the ER. They put her on a continuing insulin drip and they watched her BGs for about 4 hrs while it came down closer to normal.

600 + is dangerous territory to be in. I would recommend going to the ER ASAP when it gets that high!

Jay what I meant was when its over 400+ it won't log the number. I can only log as high as 400 but today I hit 444 and all it allowed was 44 wouldn't let me put up the third 4. Try that n let me know if it lets you cuz it won't let me.

I will try it again.

EDIT: I tried it again with 444 and then also with 601 I had no problem with either entry. Take a look at your logbook. When you are in the place where you input your before, after meal readings does it read mg/dl or mmol/l?

Or does it read %? If it reads % you're trying to put your reading in the A1c place rather than the BG place, and I tried it there and I got a message that I was "invalid percentage" and wouldn't let me do it.

BTW are you using a computer to imput your numbers, or using a smartphone app?

I just went to my profile page, restless, and under the tab "logbook" and it came up for me OK, and I typed in 400 for my BG reading and it showed up for me as 400 so I have no idea if it is a glitch in the program or somehow your settings may be off.

I would go to the "feedback" link below and write them a note about this issue. They usually get back to you within 48 hrs if not sooner.

BTW why are your BG levels so elevated?
