fasting numbers are too high

I can't seem to get my fasting numbers below 125-130. Help!

Make sure and ask your doctor about what I am going to say. But when I started drinking 1/2 wine glass of red wine about 2 hours before bed, my morning numbers were so much better like 90-110. I do not know why, but there is a discussion about red wine on this site. that is where I got the idea to ask my doctor and he said go for it. He is of the opinion that if I find something that works do it, it will only benefit the bottom line of tighter control. I also do the vinegar and grinder cinnamon too. I also got the ideas from here to ask doctor.

I found out if you don't eat after 8 p.m., and don't overeat, when you ck your b/s in the morning it would show good numbers average. As, someone stated its good to exericse and diet. I was doing 3 miles a day for about two months and my Ac1 was 6.6, and it was shocked because i thought it was going to be lower. Im just going to work harder.

I just suggest that you ask your doctor about it. For some people the numbers you mentioned are good ones. What is normal for one is not for another. Only your doctor and yourself can determine your plan of action. Just be honest with him and tell him if you are eating something heavy right before you go to bed.

Hi, their are alot of us on here that has the same complication. There are alot of different reasons for this problem. Dawn phonomenon or high cortisteroids could be the problem. Mine usually are 170 to 240 in the morning. Lantus is starting to work for me. I take 160 units a day for this problem. Exercising everyday also helps. What have you been doing so far to try to control this issue? Maybe we can help figure your problem out. Of course also talk to your Dr. he has the bottom line in this matter. I am fortunate enough to have a really great Dr.

2Catty is right about exercise. I find that my numbers are MUCH better when I make sure to exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. It takes a couple of days to catch up, but once you have been exercising regularly, you should see it help.

My mom had that problem, and she stared drinking 1 Tablespoon of white vinegar in 8 oz of water with each meal and that helped her a lot. She gets her fasting numbers below 100 now almost every day. She also changed the time she took some of her meds, so you might want to talk to your doctor about that and see if that might help.
