We're very excited to announce that the new, smaller OmniPod system is approved by FDA!! It's going to be much more comfortable, plus there are some good upgrades to the PDM controller as well. Read all about it:

That's great news! We chose Medtronic Minimed pump over Omnipod even though we knew the smaller version was coming "soon". I have to say the service we have received through Medtronic has been exceptional. From sales to training everyone has been so nice and helpful and therefore we don't regret our desicion. My advice to Omnipod is now that they have the most "convenient device" is to work on customer care(and quality control) and maybe in several years more customers will be headed that way.

Though I'm not fond of the tubing , I love my pump … Simply because it works , my #'s r so much better … Just the past 5 weeks since using one ( a pump ) I've learned that many have insurance plans that won't cover the pump or that their doctors won't prescribe a pump … Or that they just don't have medical in general , so that the pump is just out of reach due to high cost … So yes it's exciting , new technology to help us diabetics , yet it is so very sad that it seems the majority of diabetics won't have access too … So SAD …

Exciting news for those who use them or will use them. I agree with Jeanette: smaller is better when it comes to insulin pumps.

This is really exciting! It is always good when you hear about new smaller devices. The smaller the better I think when it comes to insulin pumps
