I have heard before that because diabetics have more sugar in their blood, that they can get cavities more frequently. Has anyone had their doctor recommend going to a dentist more often? Neither one of the 2 doctors that I have had before have mentioned this to me, so I am just wondering.

I go 2 times a year for a thorough cleaning. I was told by my dentist to us Colgate Total toothpaste because it covers evrything I need in one brushing. I floss and use Listerine mouthwash. I was diagnosed 15 years ago and Have not had a problem with my teeth. Knock on wood. LOL
