I'm a health professional undertaking research looking at how best we can ask people with diabetes the impact this is having on their lives when completing a patient reported outcome measure.

As part of this research we are asking people with diabetes to complete a short research questionnaire which will take about 5-6 minutes.

If you would like to help in this research by completing the questionnaire go to http://kmeadows.polldaddy.com/s/pro

The survey is totally confidential and if you have any questions I can be contacted at: kmeadows@dhpresearch.com small

Thanks for your support

Sounds like good intent in the project. Have you had the survey/project approved for posting here on DC? You will find many of us won't respond until you have DC approval.

Thanks for that info.
I did try and find whether this was o.k. but did not manage.

Sorry it was problematic. Glad Jeanette has given the OK. I completed the survey also.

The survey triggered some thoughts for me that I would like to share with you. They are my personal responses while taking the survey and may not be shared by anyone else, but may be worth considering as you design this testing tool.

Personally, I've chosen to take charge of my life and my diabetes. I don't find a whole lot of room for my approach in your questions. I control my diabetes with healthy choices of organically grown foods that eliminate gluten, I exercise daily, and I maintain a healthy, happy attitude to minimize stress.

The questions left me feeling like I should behave like a victim which is not a healthy way for me to feel. Wondering if you realize what fighters many of us are? Think you need to be aware of how these questions may set up some negative expectations rather than just measuring the negative expectations.

I had a feeling like that as well, but I really couldn't put a finger on it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this.

Hello Kmeadows, One of the things we on DC do here is look out for one another.

Please contact Alliance Health and have them determine whether this is a thing whereby it is trustorthy or the efforts of some person attempting to gather personal information for other reasons. I am sure if you are legit, you'll understand. After all Alliance is a Trust-e site.

You may contact Alliance by clicking the "Feedback" link below then one of the administrators will give us the OK to answer your survey.
