I just Googled the term "Teas for Hashimodos disease" and it returned a list of possible responses. See the list here ~ https://www.google.com/search?q=teas+for+hash...=

Throuygh that list I came upon a blog which mentioned a tea . The tea was not mentioned in the main blog article but in the responses You may find the blog and responses here ~ http://www.amothersjournal.com/2009/10/25/has...

the pertainent part is here ~

Hi Lynn,

I used to drink Tension Tamer and I loved it. But haven’t had any in a while – maybe I’ll try it. My situation is that I have Hashimotos and I also have atrial fibrilation and high blood pressure. I am thinking there may be an interaction. Think I’ll try giving up gluten. Thanks for your blog – maybe you should start one that is only focused on your hashimotos?

Marsha, I love the Tension Tamer tea. Michaela, my daughter, loves it too. We like to make a teapot full and sip from it in Japanese cups. Fun! I do have palpitations at times, and my grandmother, also having hypothyroidism, had atrial fibrillation. I do not know if there’s a connection, or a higher chance of afib with Hashi. I do know that taking a magnesium supplement helps my palpitations tremendously! I take a calcium-mag-zinc, prescribed by my doc. Thank you for your comment! Maybe one day I will start a blog on Hashimoto’s disease! Best wishes to you! I know it’s not easy. xoxo"<<

so Nichole, happy hunting in the list!

PS: please accept my friend request

I used to like rasberry tea, cinnamon stick tea and mint tea when I was drinking teas.

And isn't the black and green and white teas all made from a herbaceous plant? So aren''t most teas herbal?

I have had hasimotos for about 10 years now, take 0.150mg synthroid and as far a i have been told, herbal teas are just fine to drink. My mom also had it for about 40 years and she drank it all the time. As far a if it safe with diabetes meds of insulin, i'm not sure..my son never would touch the stuff :)
