I definitely want to do something for the community whether it is give of my time; Start a collection for diabetes, where I know I could put a couple fo donation cups; Maybe I will do that tomorrow, and then donate to this site, for people who need help with their medications; Maybe on emergency of need. You know what? I am going to do a web search right now and find out how to get started; If I can get the right info, would anyone else like to know how to do this. We could actually help people on this site.

This is the website for the American Diabetes Association. Through their site you are able to make contributions. There is also the ADA Research Foundation that is an excellent place to put your money to work. The ADA site, by the way, is an excellent one to use regularly. It's chock full of great news and information. What a lovely thought you have. The ADA and a few other "pet" organizations that I support frequently send me info and requests for donations through the mail. They will also send you a membership card once you make a donation (decals, etc.). I often make a donation in lieu of flowers, birthday presents, Christmas gifts, etc. Each of us doing our part adds up!

I use the ADA site also; Have email updates sent every day, as I do some other sites; but, I really want this to be strictly to help people in this community; I have found a form for request of non-profit contributions that I am working on, and how to go about starting a collection for diabetes. Thanks so much for the encouragement; Claudia
