I am wondering if there are moods or emotions that make some people go high and some people go low. I have been sad/depressed since my mom passed away 4 months ago and I have been running high.

If I don't eat 3 meals and one snack at the same time, I go low. Learned not to skip meals or eat junk… And yes anxiety raises sugar and diabetes definitely causes or worsens depression if not managed. I've learned that so far… The hard way… Lots of good help and sharing at DC

I heard stress and emotions do effect our blood sugar high n lows from my doctor when I noticed the more depressed I got the more my bs was hitting 300+ numbers. I hope you find a way to control yours.

Sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you. When my emotions or stress get high my BG always drops low.

I am so sorry for your loss. Emotions and stress play a big part in BG readings, exercise helps to destress sometimes even just a walk to clear the mind and get the body moving!

Sorry for your loss. I aske this question awhile back and stress does cause mood changes and contribute to hi & lo BG readings. It takes time so be patient.

Emotions have a lot to do with each persons highs n lows. Try testing after watching a scary movie or watching a comedy show. You will be surprised with the difference. What you are going tru will cause a change in your blood sugar. Talk to your doctor . He or she may give you some good advice on how to get your emotions on the positive side again. I have been where you are at. Aloha
