I have lost 3 lbs., recently, I am at ideal weight and type2 for those that are new to the board. I've been controlling by diet and exercise for a few yrs, numbers are good and I don't eat less and I don't exercise more than usual, so I have no idea. The last time this happened, I had lost 4 lbs., in like two weeks or something, and then it stabilized and I went to the doctor about something else, and while there, mentioned this and she said she would be concerned if it was 10 lbs in a month, but I am kind of worried anyway. I feel fine. This just never happens, only that one time, but at that time, I was under a lot of stress. My birth mother had overactive thyroid, she was very skinny, my birth father has type 2. I sure hope it isn't that starting.

so I was wondering, has this happened to any of you? just a few lbs. unexplained? its funny cause before diabetes diagnosis, I could not lose weight to save my life, and then when I started eating right, exercising, getting bs under control, it was no problem. I seem to have lost another 1/2 lbs. this morning and I first noticed the weight loss a few days ago. It sure isn't going back up any.

no I am not underweight. Does anyone know, if you are controlling by D&E and have it well controlled and at ideal weight, if it it sometimes just "niormal" to lose a few pounds quickly just from having diabetes? I understand that is a symptom of diabetes 'before' you are diagnosed..but I am not aware of after…I don't even gain water weight anymore, like I used to because just about all I drink is water so I don't think it is that, plus it was days that it stayed the same and shows no signs of going up, but it happened quickly, which is what really got my attention. some days I don't even exercise. sometimes the way I eat lately, it seems like I should gain some.
