what you describe sounds like the beginnings of Diabetic Neuropathy. At this point probably the best thing you could do would be to normalize your Blood Glucose (BG) levels or as close to normal as possible.
For more specific suggestions type "Neuropathy" into the search box on the upper right side of this discussion. There has been much discussion on neuropathy over the years.
