I am sorry to hear about your journey in life. Most of us get depressed, i know that i do. You have to know that each and everyday is different and all we can do is try to take care of ourselves. The holidays are the worst for me. When it comes to the drugs, just try to stop because you have more strength than you think. If you fall off the wagon than pick yourself up and try again.

Hey Melissa. So sorry to hear that you're still battling with your addiction. I know all too well what you are going through. It's a long hard fight with what you know is right to do and what your body is telling you what it wants. But it can be overcome.

I have fought the battle with alcohol for more years than I care to admit. Some years it won, some years I won. But I never gave up trying to quit. To this day, I still have the desire to drink. May have it forever, but when I weigh the odds of what I get from it and what I am potentially loosing…well for me the answer is clear. I hit my "rock bottom" and it wasn't pretty. It sounds like you may have hit yours. The next time you feel the urge to use again, remember the faces of you parents when you were in the hospital. Then imagine this will be them over your young grave.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it's because you are in a situation that calls for this kind of honesty. This is where I found myself. My body was telling me to either quit or it was going to quit for me, permanently. So, I got a hold of myself, because I'm not ready to die. I am way to important to my life, my family, this world to just give it all up for an addiction. I pray that you see yourself in this light soon. I want better for you. And I know you want better for yourself. Why else would you come to us for prayers and counsel.

Please my young friend. Do whatever it takes to get and keep yourself on the permanent path of sobriety. It's more than worth it. You are in my prayers. Be blessed my friend.

May the Creator and Mother Earth watch over an give you and your family to get thru this difficult time in your life and may the light of the universal spirit light your way on the right path you need to follow to happiness you want and away from the path of darkness and unhappiness…
Just take one day at a time and remember, yesterday is done, the future hasn't been written yet so today is a fresh start.
Good Luck… :)

That of which you desire lies within you…search fot it.
Depression can only blanket happiness, it can never replace it permanently.

Once you search for that happiness from within and obtain it then you can pass that happiness on to othersm the beauty associated with searching within one's self is the feeling of confidence that is brought on by hope!

As your confidence gets stronger, the hold of depression gets weaker and weaker.
Stay strong and stay focused on that of which you desire, make it become reality.
Don't give up on yourself…ever!

Praying for you and your parents — life is not always easy, but it is better once you are clean and stable. Hope you decide to get involved in some activities that you enjoy and help you stay focused on the good things in life and in you.
You are loved,
