I am not feeling well. My tummy is upset and my bg is up & down, some…after insulin,

The weather is cold and rainy. I am in bed, watching tv, and here, on the computer. Under the blankets, hot, then cold. It's not the flu. I am pretty sure. My caregiver has not been hear for several days as she had some family time off. I am trying to get by as best as I can. She set up lots of healthy food for me before she left but my tummy is so upset.

I know, I have to start drinking more fluids since it is so difficult to eat or drink right now. Fluids have to be the biggest effort. I have G2 in the frige since when I was first diagnosed, the nutritonist said to always have lots of G2 on hand in case of illness. G2 is lower in sugar.

I am wondering if I might be having a sinus problem. My nose is running almost nonstop. I blow and wipe and my face is raw from all the snot (good word) so I think there might be a problem in my sinus. Still having trouble with bg.

I have a nasal flow especially after I eat. Sometimes it flows so heavily that I get "Benign Peripheral Vertigo" where I get dizzy and sometimes get nauseous and perhaps throw up. Sometimes it seems like it goes on nearly forever.

Feel better soon. Maybe what you can try instead of Gatorade is coconut water. it is naturally low carb and gives you the electrolytes you need. The paramedics who picked up my hubby one time said that they say Pedialite is better for people than Gatorade, but it is not sugar free, so be careful.

Gabby great advice. I have used Pedialite stuff is nasty but it did what it was supposed to do. I included it in my carb count and was fine.

Yes Coconut water is sold in grocery stores, wal-mart and I have seen it in 7-11.
These days you can find nearly all kinds of foods and beverages in supermarkets.
