So tonight I was at a hockey game and at intermission I went to the bathroom and tested my blood it said it was at 324 I found that really strange considering there was no reason for me to be high like that. I tested again immediately after ( feeling very stressed because of my last reading) and it read 432!!!! I knew that it was impossible I was that high so I waited 15 min, I didn't take any insulin and when I tested only 15 min later my blood was at 234.. What happened exactly? Should I get my meter changed? Is it possible that I had something on my finger? Was it because I panicked? Where did those first 2 readings come from? It really scared me and ruined my night

I agree with jayabee. Instead of panicking, you should start keeping track of what you are eating and keeping your hands clean prior to a blood check. Plan out what you are eating ahead of time. If I know I am going to a party or whatever I veg out on lots of veggies ahead of time. This way if I slide off the track I know I did get my daily intake of veggies and helps balance out myself. So no worries.Hugs

howdy Annon.
It could be most anything from something on your finger, to an infection, to a liver dump. Without more information than you give here it would be fruitless to speculate,
