Up until a month ago, I was the perfect diabetic. Normal readings, great A1c, and now everything has gone crazy.

Doesn't matter what I eat, and as a diabetic, we know what we can and cannot eat, my blood sugars rise. I could eat a yogurt with 4g of carbs with a handful of almonds and I'll go up 4 points. A month ago I could eat twice the servings and not change at all.

Even spinach salad and a chicken breast hike me up 3 or 4 points. Not so bad really, right? It is when lately my normal morning fast is an 18 at best. I hit a high last night of 23.6.

We have tripled meds to no avail. I have one more week for a miracle, then a hospital visit to bring me down and probably start insulin.

Unless anyone here has any other ideas?? I'm so lost and frustrated :(

sorry about this. I hope things change soon. If it was me, for that period of time, I would talk to my doctor.

I am sorry that you are having these problems. I am sorry that I don't have any advice to offer. I do hope you get your blood sugars under control again, soon.
