I don't know that it's related to your diabetes. Pain is a thing that stems from so many issues. Could there be something in the way you are sleeping or some new exercise you are doing? Sometimes it is just plain old age that gives a little nudge now and again. Unless it is so uncomfortable you cannot deal with it, you can just keep an eye on it. But if it is totally unexplained as far as you can tell, it is something you may want to have checked out by your doctor.

Howdy hanna

I noted your tags below the original posting indicate you fear it might be your kidneys which may be a source of your pain. Should you have kidney stones could be a source of pain.

I have stage 4 kidney disease and I had no back pain attributable to my CKD either this time nor the previous time I was on dialysis for 10 months. I did have intermittent spasms of pain in my lower back due to a work injury which caused osteoarthritis in my spine.

But my experience may not be typical. I urge you to get yourself checked out by a Dr to be sure it isn't kidney problems or another thing lurking behind the pain.

I pray you'll find the cause of that pain soon and be able to easily deal with it.
