Last night after the second half of the Clemson and Florida State game my emotions and stress level rose as did my blood sugars. My yelling into the TV screen didn't help Clemson play any better and it didn't help my blood sugars. I not making fun of the situation of my health due to I tested at 190 when I have maintained in the 80's with only one pill a day at bedtime.
So to my other fellow sports fans, a word of wisdom, don't get stressed!

Yeah my numbers seem to go up when watching football also and this has not been a good year for Auburn ,but I have found if I take a few deep breaths and remind myself that it is only a game my numbers come down a little,so take a few and remember that it is only a game. War Eagle!!

You don't know stress during football games unless you are a lifelong Pittsburgh Steeler fan such as my self, that team of mine "loves" to keep my blood sugar rising with their "edge of the seat" antics!

But win, or lose, I love them!
Maybe I can send the sports organization my next series of medical bills!

Try being a Packer fan prior to 1997.

Nick, (I know that feeling very well…lol.)
Or a Steeler fan from 1985 until 1992!
It feels good now doesn't it?
Those dark days of having to listen to my Cowboys, Giants, 49ers and Patriot fans are gone, but back then all I could do was base my arguments on the past glory of the famed "Steel Curtain Defense" but stress is stress and they sure know how to bring it to me year after year!

Kills me every time. We started the whole super bowl thing, won the first and second ones then bam! Not one trip to the dance in 30 years. By ‘95 I was becoming a Stealers fan. What’s worse was watching all those smug Bear’s fans leaving Lambeau field year after year. It’s no wonder packer fans have such a high beer tolerance.
