One thing I have learned on here, there is no "good combo" for Type 2. We seem to be unique. What works great for me, may not do well for someone else.
I would suggest that your register with med-guard or medi-guard. You provide them with a list of your meds and suppliments and they alert you for possible interactions. For instance, they alerted me that I should not take my Crestor with my magnesium suppliment. what they can't tell you is what combo will work for you. Many folks have had issues with Metformin, others take it without a problem. In the discussion search type in Metformin and you should pull some of these up.. Jim

I started out with Januvia and Glyberride. Then after that caused me to have low blood sugar, Dr put me on Metformim and Lantus.

Welcome !!!!
Be sure to read all the information regarding side effects, contraindications, what to report to MD and when to seek medical assistance for all medications You have to get use to how both medications effects your body and by knowing the side of both medication you can take an active role in managing your diabetes.

Monitor your blood sugar , blood pressure ,breathing ,diet, emotions or any other side effects if needed especially if this combination is new to your body. Keep a log so that you can tell your Dr.

No one can tell you what is right for you that must be determined by your Medical Providers and you, because if any incorrect advice is given to you that is liable for a suit and no one wants to take that risk.

Don't stop taking any medication until you discuss with your Dr. or you are in a 911 emergency!!!!m Take Care!!!

Im not sure of this combo. However, i was put on actos and i did not like the side affects. My legs felt heavy as if sand were in my shoe felt sore all the time. Gained a lot of weight like 30 pounds. I think Actos should be pulled off the market!!!Im on insulin at night and Glipizide twice a day before breakfast and dinner!
