Hey guys(: I know I haven't been on in a while but that's cause I have been really busy! Anyways my question is does anyone know of a really good diet to follow? I've tried a lot of different ones and none of them have worked. Anyways I figured I would come on here to ask because everyone is friendly and I love this site. Everyone gives out such helpful advice and are very supportive. (:

I follow Weight Watchers, works for me! Whatever plan you choose, make sure to add exercise to it for optimum health benefits too.

Diabetes mgmt without exercise is like working out in a straight jacket while strapped to a gurney! No matter what your food plan, medications etc., if you don't exercise, you've accomplished only a part of the battle for a portion of time. So Lizardfan, I agree with you in a big way! Even if you don't have diabetes, you have to exercise to stay fit and healthy. Couch potatoness is not the way on any given day!!!

I had that problem all my life. I actually hated Weight Watchers. To me dieting is boring and gets old very fast. So I simply bake, broil or grill everything from bacon, sausage and all my meats. Not much of a fish person. I do not eat any kind of frozen dinners and when fresh veggies are not available in the dead of winter I buy frozen. I try not to eat lunchmeats but sometimes they are good for a sandwich when I am in a hurry. I don't eat a lot of carbs and I walk around the block every day if it isn't real hot, extremely cold or raining or snowing.

It isn't easy but I stick with what I am doing and I have lost a lot of weight. Good luck to you.
