I've missed you all!! Well here goes the latest drama in my life!!! We've had 3 floods in the past month, lost my dryer and my car got flooded right up to the seats!! It took 2 1/2 weeks to bail out the water and let it dry enough so my behind didn't get wet!! But a new starter $200.00 later and it's up and running again!! Thank goodness!! It squeeks like hell but it's running!! The water was so high outside my house that even the bunny rabbits were swimming for their lives!! LOL I didn't even know rabbits could swim!! Had to wade out in thigh high water to catch my trash cans from floating down the street!! My husband is doing very well at least for the time being! He's done with the radiation treatments and goes for a Cat Scan in a couple of weeks. I think they got all the cancer for the third time but he won't quit smoking so it's just a matter of time before he gets sick again and this time…they won't be ABLE to do anything for him. He can't have anymore radiation because it will weaken the major blood vessel that runs across the lungs and he could "bleed out". As for me…I'm STILL fighting with my #'s. Trying to get to this new Endo Dr. but have to wait till next week. SOOOooooo whats new with all of YOU??? Your friend Ellen :) Yes, despite it all I am STILL smiling!!

Wow…your real name is not Job by any chance, lol ?! Your story of the bunnies swimming reminds me of when I lived in Indiana. We had major flooding once, so bad that people were actually rowing boats down our street. The entire back yard looked like a lake, and all the garter snakes, from a field in back of our home (hundreds of them it seemed!) were swimming in our back yard with their heads above water and looked as though they were cobras! Horrific time.

OMG!! I think I would have freaked if there had been any SNAKES swimming!! LOL I probably COULD have rowed down the street but usually about 20 minutes after it stops raining the water all recedes!! We have 7 storm drains right here on the corner! It only floods WHILE it's raining!! Ellen :)

I am glad you are still smiling, Ellen! It is good to hear from you again my friend!

As far as my health is concerned my kidneys have taken a turn for the worse and I may well return to dialysis quite soon. But, thank God, at least I have do have dialysis available to maintain my life.

I'll never complain about my back pain again , my daughter had kidney cancer and my husband has colon cancer, so I realize how fortunate I am just to have diabetes and RH. Hope you are feeling better jayabee52, I will pray for you.

Thank you Veggie prayers are ALWAYS welcome!

My 2nd wife had Systemic Lupis Erythematosus (SLE) Neither Diabetes nor kidney disease could not hold a candle to the complications and the damage that disease causes (IMHO). SLE is an autoimmune disease which can attack heart, lungs, kidenys, joints, stomach, and in her case it did. Drs posited that she died due to her heart problems, and I suspect it was in large part due to a Lupis attack.

And IMO it is worse because with diabetes there is usually a way to control it somewhat. However with SLE there is no way to determine when or where it will attack and the only way to try to minimize its effects is through prednisone pills or steroid injections. ("Jem" also had t 2 DM which was complicated by the steroids or the prednisone)

I pray healing for all sufferers of any disease!
