Infections are very, very serious.
Especially for diabetics of all ages, testing your blood daily, injecting yourself with diabetes medications and insulin can put you at risk for a very serious, if not fatal infection if you are not careful as to how you manage monitoring your diabetes.
They can occur at home, and even at your local hospital or doctor's office!
Don't be afraid to ask questions, or to demand a safer environment in which to be tested in, whether it's the equipment or the personnel doing the testing your health may depend on how clean and sterile everyone and everything is that comes into physical contact with you.
