Infusion Set Duds

I encountered 3 faulty infusion sets when changing out my infusion set and reservoir for my pump during the past week. When I connected the set to the reservoir, no insulin flowed into the tubing. My pump immediately gave me a "No delivery" alarm, so I set aside the dud and used another. This morning, I had 2 faulty sets before connecting one that worked. I called Medtronics on both occasions and they are sending me replacement sets (These sets aren't cheap!) along with a pre-paid envelope to forward the malfunctioning sets to them for analysis. I use the Medtronic Quick-set Paradigm MMT-386 infusion set which comes in boxes of 10. The lot number on this particular box was 219202. This is the 1st time in a year that I've experienced such a problem. Has anyone else dealt with similar issues?

It has made me realize that if I go away on vacation, I must bring more sets than I think I will need for the duration of my stay…not happy to have the problem but glad it happened while I was home and had a supply readily available.

Just wanted to give pumpers a heads-up on this.

Yep
I too have had that and I always take more then I need .
They will relpace any that are bad .
I may go a year or two but when I get them it is two or three to the box
bring more insulin then you think you will need too .
