My name is Katie, I was diagnosed in february of this year and recently found out I have another disease where I have to take steroids well they are making me gain a whole bunch of weight. I was wondering if anyone has any weight loss plans. I'm 17 and I need to lose like 30 pounds thanks!!

Steroids will do that to you!

There is no particular diet needed, just an understanding as to how your body creates and distributes fat and proper eating, both of which are listed below:

Talk to your doctor and/or nutriyionist if you have any questions, fears, concerns or problems.

Welcome to the party!
Vanessa already asked the important questions, so I'd say once you're off the 'roids see if your weight will come back some. 30 lbs isn't much if the 'roids are responsible for 20 of it, but since I don't know what you eat now, I'd just have to say look at your carb and sugar intake and cut that some if you can, then check back with your progress in 2 months. Meantime, keep a food journal of how much you eat and exercise, it's a good tool to start getting control.

I've been on them for about 2 months and they are weaning me off of them now so I think about 2 more months and nice to meet you also :) and yeah I have to be on insulin I am considering the pump but I'm not sure yet lol
