For two long days I have been hearing the siren song "I Like Rocky Road" (thanks alot Tony Basil).
Waffle cones full of marshmallowy, pecanny chocolatey delight keep rampaging through my head.

Aaah I've missed roasted marshmallows, am going to have to try these sugarless ones! It's amazing what you can learn on DC!

yes they do make "sigar free" marshmallows. I found them in the grocery in the San Francisco Bay area (east bay) They IMHO were nothing to write home about as they were generally VERY dry. Tried them with "Jem" and we agreed not to purchase them again because of their odd "mouth feel". (Jem was a real "foodie" when I knew her)

Since then I have only seen them offered online like here ~

There is even a recipe on how to make it, here ~

regarding those "peeps" the nutrition info for them is here ~

Arent they normally dry to the taste? Surgerless or not..LOL..we're planing a marshmallow and hotdog roast once the weather cools off enough, and less humid..

Thanks, James. I will yeild to your wisdom about the mouth feel. Hubby gets exasperated with my dramatic antics when a food has a not so nice mouth feel.
Sorry tour recipe link is a repeat of the product link.
After my own random search I think I have found a marshmallow fluff worth trying from
it is for a frosting but it might be more of what I am looking for than actually a marshmallow. Perhaps if I let it set up it might be a peeplike substitute as well.
Here's what the directions are for anyone else (DeanaG…hint hint) to try:
Marshmallow Fluff Icing From the recipe for Rebecca Rather's Peanut Butter Cupcakes
5 extra large egg whites
3/4 cup SPLENDA® Sugar Blend
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Combine egg whites, cream of tarter and SPLENDA® Sugar Blend for Baking in the top of a double boiler; stirring until blended. Cook over simmering water 3-5 minutes, whisking constantly, until SPLENDA® Sugar Blend for Baking is dissolved. Remove from heat.

Beat egg white mixture at low speed with an electric mixer for 5 minutes; increase speed to high and beat 5 minutes, or until stiff peaks form.
Instead of frosting cucpcaes as the next step. I'll either make blobs artful ones) on waxpaper or parchment paper. Or just dump it into a wax or prchment paper lined Brownie pan and let set up. May add a tad of vanilla extract while beating as well.

Due to kitchen ban without adult supervision I will have to wait until Wednesday to try this out.

Thanks. finally did a random search an posted resulting choice above to James. Never noticed any at the hospital when I was at their gift shop, but I don't remember looking at any food items. Sounds like a field/victory trip back there to check it out.

Hey Graylin, I had sugar free peeps for Easter and Kraft I think makes them sugar free. Check out their website or just put sugar free marshmallows in your search engine and see what comes up. Hope this helps.

Did the sugar free peeps match up in taste, texture, and yummy factor to regular peeps? I am a peep addict, been peep free for 2 Easters.

Yep tasted good to me. My sister eats an entire box but didn't care for the sugar free ones. I ate the ear off a regular one to see if I could tell the difference. They were the same except the real one was sickeningly sweet. I actually don't like marshmallows even as a kid but couldn't wait for Easter for the Peeps.
