Eucerin is really good and they are noted for their safety and purity and have not changed their formula for over 25 years. There are also lotions that are specifically for diabetics. The following site has 10 solutions for diabetic dry skin.

The site is for Stevens Creams but it also gives some good tips. The next site sells creams online specifically for diabetics.

Hope this helps.

I can only tell you what I use. I have stopped using soap every day. I have a big bottle of cheap store brand lotion with a pump that I use instead of soap. I get in the shower get both me and the washcloth wet and then shower as I normally would but I use the lotion. I have found that it really helps the dry itchy skin issues that I have. Eucerin is a good lotion for after you get out of the shower too. I use good old Vaseline on my face and especially on my dry feet and legs.

I have dry and itchy skin alot…for us men who don't want to smell like roses when we put lotion on…I use Vaseline for Men with cooling hydration.

I have found Aveeno Creamy Moisturzing Oil is really great (it's non-greasy). Also, my dermatologist many years ago recommended Cetaphil as an alternative to bath soaps; Cetaphil lotion is also great. Hope for the best for you.

I have the same problem myself, I buy Aveeno for extra dry skin and love it.

Hello Joyce… Where can I buy the Shea Butter? I love that stuff, however, I have only seen it in lotions. Not pure from the actual nut. The aloe cream sounds very nice as well. When I lived in Maine I had very dry skin, but since I have been in NC my skin is much better. The winter time still gives me a bit of dry skin, but my feet need the moisture daily. I have major allergies to scents.. Are these 2 products unscented? Thanks for the info.

if it is too bad, then a prescription lotion is best. If not severe, I use Avon deep moisture cream and overnight renewing cream, they also have a great cracked heel relief cream and many other good foot creams.

Nichole, I have the same problem and I only use one of two products. The first one is pure shea butter. I don't use the commercialized version you find in stores. I get it from an African store where they have the actual nut and scrape it out of the nut. I also buy the kind they have whipped. It actually is put into one of the food containers you get Potato Salad in. To use it you need a very little bit because it is naturally oily. I put it on right out of the bath or shower twice a day. I put it on my feet and put on a pair of socks.

The other product I just started using in July. It is Hawaiian Moon Aloe. I love this stuff. It is a light weight cream. I dip my finger in it and use what is on my finger till its gone. Two dips covers a lot of skin. It soothes itching, lightens scars good for burns, diaper rash if you have a baby. I use it twice a day. I got it at a jewelry show but you can visit their web site at www.aloecream.biz or call them at 888-258-3576. My sister and I got a deal. We bought 2 9oz jars and a small jar for $60.00 so for $120.00 we got a years supply. This cream also makes your feet feel great. I use it as a face cream and it makes your skin soft and smooth.

Next time you are in a store, read the lotion bottles. If the very first ingredient is water, the lotion is water based and is useless to me. Years ago I use to buy a large unscented bottle of lotion and added Skin So Soft bath oil to it and shake it up. Was the best thing I ever did. When I got tired of Skin So Soft I added a little mineral oil to the scented lotion. You also have to stay hydrated.
