Is an AC1 score between 6.0 and 6.1 considered to be type 2 diabetes?

It depends. Most say an A1c (your 3 month average blood glucose percentage)below 7 is considered normal. WebMD claims 4-5.6 is "normal", 5.7-6.4 to be "at risk" (some doctors will say "pre-diabetes"), and 6.5 and above to be diabetic.
Recently, the numbers for normal or controlled for older people, or those with heart risks have been brought down to 6 instead of 7.
