Hi everyone this is my latest piece of poetry that I hope you will take time to read.
CAKE!
Cake here,cake there,cake everwhere
How do I say no
How do I stop
How do i prevent the cake everywhere

When I go to a party and cake is served I say no. My husband who is not diabetic does the same. He does not want to get sick.

I just posted a picture in my profile showing how to "stomp" on your cake cravings. It was my first birthday & I … oh well, ya gotta see the picture.

I am working on improving a brownie recipe I found last year. Needs a bit more tweeking, but is pretty darn good. Uses almond flour and is low sugar, did not give a BG spike! Just needs a tad more chocolatey taste then I'll post the recipe here.

As a daughter of The Cake Lady, I agree cake is indeed everywhere!

I know how you feel. I am pretty comfortable now with most situations, except for one, cake! When other people are having a regular dessert, I just have a small taste and I feel ok about it but I hate it, and I mean hate it when there is a cake and everyone is digging in. I don't know… if my sugar isn't high I have a tiny slice, but it all depends on what is going on that day. However, I did find a great sugar-free bakery that makes cakes. You better believe that I bought me a big old cake and had a rather large slice :)

The Cake Lady's chocolate cake is very hard for me to pass up. A few times she has been cruel enough to ask for my help in cutting it into fancy shapes for showers…so wonderful while still ice cold from the freezer…sigh.
