A few months ago I got in a tiff with JB over posting. I promised I would be the bigger man and ignore him, but can no longer after reading Graylin Bee's thread. He has been a festering wound in my side since he told a thirteen year old on here that shingles are caused by Herpes, it is all and well to google it and post what you read, but man use your head.
James, for some unknown reason u feel that you must police this forum as if you owned it. You need to take a break from here and step back and see what you have become. I know you have your health and personal problems, but so do the rest of us. I come here to learn and have a litle bit of fun with my many friends.
Which bring me to end this, if I am booted I asked for it and will miss you all, but some times you can no longer sit back and overlook everything.
Jennette if you feel the need go ahead and delete me if you must, but first take time and ask your self if that is what you want for the forum.
James one last word, for Suzy Q's sake let you Jem be just a good memory in your heart.

Wait.. I dont have any problem with him… he post what he wants to post just like me and the rest of us… if u feel you need to correct him on his post, I am sure you are welcome to, in a gentlemanly manner… you cannot just ask a person to leave! Everyone is different and everyone has their own style of communicating… I dont thing that "a matter of fact" thinking is wrong… May be just different from yours. Everyone has contributed to my well being in here… One time , a person posted something that i get offended by, while others think it was funny… because we are all different.. you need to accept that…

Ok here is something some of you may not know about me…On another website that I have been on since 1998 I am one of those moderators per se ok? There are rules for posting and replying; private messaging a person and etc on that site. Trust me I have no problem reporting something that is not good. Once its reported the Higher Ups check it out. If deemed as I believed it was not good intentions it gets deleted and the person posting whatever gets notified nicely not to do so again. IF they do so, they are banned from that website.
Now as I see it thus far, no one should police anyone else until they police themselves. Read what you post first. Think on it while doing so as if you were the person it was directed at. How would you feel then? Remember we are mostly Adults on here. With new and some younger people finding us. I know we all want to reach out and help in whatever way we can. So with all that in mind, lets simply do it. Not boot anyone but be honest and sincere. If someone's post or mine offends I hope that I would get a private message to that degree. So I may look over what I said or typed and perhaps realize my intent was in error or taken the wrong way by others.

I hope this helps everyone and just a gentle reminder of the positive force we can be together. For one insight from many others may helps more.

Let's focus on helping and supporting one another, if there is an issue with you and someone try to resolve it in a personal manner such as in a private message to that individual, do not make the mistake that I did by making it public, it's not fair to the site, the members here and the parties involved.

Both you, and James have so much to offer here, and both of you are well liked and respected, so let's work with one another respectfully in making this site work out for the best, because, after all this is such a wonderful concept, as well as a loving, supportive community!

This is my "Olive Branch of Peace" between the two of you, not only for the sake of friendship, but also for the continued existence of this supportive family!

May's that's all I want, but everyone here has to realize that this forum is not their personal property, none of here own it, but I like to think WE all own it.

Tom, that we do, all of us.
This community is such a helpful one, there is no other site like this, and as in all communities there will be a few disagreements and sometimes that is good for the betterment of the community as a whole.

Both you, and James have so much to offer in advice, wisdom of life and personal experience, and although we may not eat at the same table, we all bring a dish, or two to the banquet, now some of the dishes may be appealing, others may not but it's best to bypass those that do not interest us leaving more for those who are interested in them!

There is no right, or wrong here, only a conclusion, let's focus on tackling diabetes and eliminating it first, once that is done we cam all go into the back yard and have a slugfest on the condition that we all remember what started it all!
My guess is that we won't remember any of this beyond yesterday!

Take care my friend(s) we are all here for support, and I extend that Olive Branch of Peace out to the both of you…The two of you haven't brought me this far in life to back out now, the wisdom of the ages is priceless for a youngster such as myself!

Let's all be friends once again!

I know that it belongs to all of us. Recently I was appalled by another one of the self appointed, self righteous posters on the Diabetes Police thread. They practically indicted some of the posters and acted like an district attorney on cross examination at times! No compassion at all was shown. Makes me just want to read and not even participate. I guess some people have such a grand opinion of themselves that they can't see it. I hope you are not booted, there is room for all if people would just think how the posts sound before replying! So, whoever wants to rip me apart go at it, I can take it!

I see no reason for you to be booted. We are all here to support and help each other, and we all have opinions, and we don't have any moderators, per se, on here, other than the administration. It certainly does seem to me that there are some people who have taken it upon themselves lately to police this forum and have become a bit difficult and abrupt, shall we say, in what they are posting. I feel that there are ways to post things on here that do not belittle other people. This, as a longer term person on here, is what I see happening on these posts, its actually not just one person doing this type of thing, and it is not setting a good example, or making the newer folks feel welcomed when they see these types of postings.
There is no reason to feel that you should be removed for telling it like it is.
I've said before in other posts, we are all adults here, we know what we can and cannot do, we know what we can and cannot eat, and we are responsible for our ownselves.
For a member to feel like he should be "booted" because of expressing an opinion in reaction to someone who has made many feel uncomfortable is ridiculous.
Okay-I'm prepared to be booted too!
