I love the Health Ranger and this article is so true. Organic is coming down in price, but all the while, prices are going up at the stores. I think the best part of the article is where he encourages us to grow our own or join a co-op for gardening. From experience, it is hard work, but it pays off.

When I had the opportunity I found it very rewarding to garden.

I rather imagine Nevada is not really a "garden state" in the food way. My mom is in AZ and she says everyone has gravel yards and cactus. I don't think I would like that too much.

You're right Gabby it is not. There are however ways to work around the climate and the soil's lack of organic materials. The biggest problem is the scarcity of water, which is becoming more expensive as time goes on.

That is the wonder of living in the desert. I am not sure I could. I like shade and trees and water. It does have a beauty of it's own though. I loved being in New Mexico last year.
