Helllo to you all my name is Dooie and I'm a newcomer. I've been a T1 for over 21 yrs and have been on injections up until three and a half yrs ago when I went on the pump. Sadly I was only on it for about a year and had to get off because of my work. Now I'm ready to get back on one but it's hard to choose which on to go on but my first pump was MM because my endocrinologist said they were a good company. Now I see the Animas Ping and the Animas Vibe(not out yet) and that one has CGMS. On the other hand the MM Revel has the CGMS also. It would be great to hear some feedback about the pumps you are using and how you feel about them and the customer service. Whatever feedback you give would be GREATLY appreciated.

Just as a side note I have hard nothing but difficulty with my mm cgm! Love the pump and hate hate the cgm on it! I switched to dexcom cgm which has been absolutely fantastic!! The insertion needle for the mm is an 18g and is really painful, needs a tegaderm to stay on and was always reading errors for me! I love the mm pump but really didn't like the cgm but dexcom was worth every cent!!! Good luck!!

Hey Dooie72,
My name is Alvin
I work with a guy by the name of Chris Hughes.
He would not mind at all you calling him and getting ideas on different types of pumps. That is his profession. If you feel lead, just give him a call at (601) 720-3468 and tell him you and I connected on Diabetic connect. Ask him to share what he thinks is the best and he will help you in anyway you need.
Let him know I told you to call him.
Thanks
Alvin Woods

i use the accucheck spirit combo! its a brilliant pump. It comes with a meter which uses blue tooth, so instead of clicking the units on the pump you can activate it through the meter. Not only that but the meter records all you readings and will give you 7, 14 30 60 90 day averages and can also give bolus advice. Its a nifty pump along with the meter however its not water proof and does come with tubing unlike some other pumps.

Best of luck choosing your pump!!!

thank you both and as a matter of fact the Medtronic reps called me today and I still haven't heard from the Animas reps yet. I'm doing me research and the Revel/CGMS system is looking much better plus I want to be able to see everything on pump screen. I know Animas has the Vibe but it's not out yet.

I have only ever been on MM so I can't really compare it to the other brands. I can say I love my Medtronic though I have the newest model so I can use my CGM and a glucose meter that sends BGs to my pump as well. The CGM is usually off by about 20 points but it does a wonderful job of showing trends. I have a friend who is on the omnipod which is completely wireless so that would be a good one to look at depending on your lifestyle. Also the tandem tslim pump is the newest on the market.
