I eat good meals but I eat most what ever I want. It's about eating good portion size. And of course exercise. I've lost 70 pounds in the last year and still going. The secret for me is to NOT GO ON A DIET!!

There are no foods off limits for me, it is about portion control. I tend to not eat very much red meat and that is just a personal preference. I love veggies and fruit, I do have to watch desserts in that if I eat them a lot then I tend to start craving them all the time. They are my trigger food and I have to really be mindful so that they are not a problem for me. I love good food and also eat out a lot, I just work it into my plan.

I'm with Nick's reply below… I don't deny myself anything but I can splurge a little. I give myself an allowance that I stick to. If I overdo one thing, I underdo another. It works! I've dropped (and kept off) 34 pounds. Let your meter tell you what you can and can't do. There's nothing worse than resenting yourself for bad choices. One day at a time, dear friend. Success is a journey, not a destination. I have made more efforts so that I eat to live rather than live to eat.

We think alike ray. Why deny yourself the foods you have enjoyed in the past. You just have to be careful of how you eat. I do not deny my self anything and if I do eat something I shouldn't, I exercise and find a way to compensate for it. Enjoy food.

Can't speak for everyone here, but i eat the same things everyone else does, just cut way back on carbs like breads, pasta, potatoes, and rice.
This weekend I'm throwing a mess o' different meats on the grill, probably some shrimp and vegetables too. Nothing fancy.
