I know in Ireland, the best place to go to is your endo and show that your are indeed deicated to switching over to pump therapy. I was in the public health system and it took the guts of two years for everything to click into place. But as far as i know your endochronolgist applies for you. Then you meet with specialised pump nurses who train you to use it. Then you have to attend carb counting courses then finially the day arrives when its finially waiting for you in the diabetic day centre. But they wont consider you for a pump if you show no dedication!!! Have you tried getting intouch with Diabetes UK??? they will point you in the right direction! Best of luck!

I believe Holrup is in "merry ole" England. (I suspect you read "New England" as did I at first)

That's a little more than 2 hrs away from Joslin and has a way different healthcare system.

I have heard great things about Joslin and it is a great suggestion you made, but it may be a bit far for him.
