Thanks for all the answers. I use this forum on my phone only so it's really hard to read thevdesktop version. Have to pass on requests till I get computer fixed and it gets easier to read.

I look to see who is offering me the friend request. If they have details or comments I can read, replies to discussions then I friend them back. If they have nothing on their profile, no discussions, or replies I generally do not accept the friendship because we have had spammers here. I want to make sure its real Diabetic or Diabetic interested person for a purpose other than selling or soliciting. Friends mean you can email each other internally through this site to your site email. Mostly people care about each other here. So Welcome to you!

Sorry to hear about your pain. Last year had some similar issues and was aventually diagnosed with chronic appendicitis which eventaully turned into a ruptured appendix.Have recovered now but now I am having increasing issues with blood sugar control…We will all get over these bumps in the road.
PS Have four 100 pound "puppies" and three cats…hope to resume walking them soon. Also had a surgery on a foreign body in my leg which also took forever to heal probably thanks to the diabetes.

Hope you heal quick. Those little dogs of yours want you to get well. Lol.
I see the associate of my GI doc at 230 tomorrow. I was up all night and am still in pain. Pain goes into my back and shoulders.
I really really don't want appendicitis. I seem to average 2 surgeries a year as of late. I just want to be normal. Minor aches and pains. Now I'm whining, sorry. All of y'all have been great. I'm not alone.
Going to try and sleep now.

We would be able to hear whining and you are really not. (WOOFY)

Some amount of venting is absolutely necessary and sometimes even loved ones or others close to you are uncomfortable or afraid to reach out to you when you discuss pain or frustrations… it could be them next. TRY YOUR BEST. Remember that if there are some things you temporarily cannot change, do not worry excessively about changing them:

Look to this day
for it is life,
For yesterday is but a memory
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But every today well lived
makes every yesterday a memory
of happiness
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day…

Howdy lotsa!

Go down to the black band at the bottom of the page and find the link "Member support". Read that to find how to do things like make friends and if someone is bothering you, how to block that person from "following" you. Otherwise the "rules" of friendship is what you make them to be.

I like to have a lot of friends here, because I like to be able to "talk" to someone privately, off the boards should there be a need. Say that two people get into a kerfluffle, and I don't want to seem to throw gasoline on the flames, If I am friend of one or both involved, I can seek to mediate the dispute and perhaps restore peace on the board. (Those are just for instances)

(You'll also find many other useful links like "Terms of use" and "Feedback" down there)

I pray there is no problem with anyone here. If you are having a problem with someone virtually stalking or harassing you, take it up with John, Gabby or JRalphs via the inbox. They can better advise you about matters like that.

Blessings to you and yours

James

Off topic, but I am supposed to have a gastric emptying delay something or the other on Thursday. Right now I am battling nausea and pain from stomach. I'm afraid I will throw up the contrast dye. I have slept all day today and was up all night in pain. They say gastritis but it's getting worse. Tylenol and ultram is all I can take.No nsaids allowed. i think I may end up going to the er tomorrow night, though I hate the er. Plus, I hate narcotics.and they always seem to want to give them to you when you you refuse them. Sigh, I could use some friends, we just moved here, and talking to my Chihuahuas gets old

I am sorry to hear that. I will pray for you and the easing of your pain.

Sounds like you may have "Gastroparesis" which is a nerve condition where high Blood Glucose levels attacks the Vagus nerve controlling the motility of your digestive tract.

I think I may have an intermittent form of that myself, as I have the nausea from time to time.

I used to work as a Certified Nurse Aide and sometimes was sent to ERs in various hospitals in greater Las Vegas area. I'd be willing to be a virtual sounding board for you. If you want you can use my inbox so that our discussions may be not on the public boards,

OR you could post a new discussion with that as the main topic. Then you'd get comfort and advice from a lot of folks, some of whom may have gone through much the same as you are now going through.

Praying for the easing of your discomfort. I believe you will do OK.
