With new technology coming out all of the time it can be hard to keep up with the different options for insulin delivery. Is it the pen, the pump or good old needles and a vial of insulin? What works best for you?

I use a pen for my fast acting insulin and a vial and syringe for my base insulin. I find it works well and I don't have to worry about mixing them up!

I'm using an Omni Pod system and love it! Went from MDI's, to an Animas pump, to the Omni Pod. I am a total believer in insulin pump therapy. It gives me the control I need (and demand… I'm a bit of a control freak by nature anyways). My A1C was 6.9 last time, next A1C is in a few weeks and I'm hoping to be in the mid to lower 6's.

I've been a T1 for 34+ years and just 3.5 months ago started on the pump (w/sensor). Greatest thing I could have done!! Prior, my A1C was 10.9! Today…7.9 and I am very very happy. Still not at the desired number but well on my way :)
