I found my biological father & now I know where my pre-d comes into play. What I would like to know what does this mean for me??? I am a little nervous now & am not sure what to think. Please any advice/suggestions/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

You may in fact have a genetic predisposition; but the key word is predisposition.
It sounds like you're doing a lot of things right.
I think you should relax and acknowledge how well you're doing.

Thanks for the input, the pre-d just makes since to me now where before I had no clue. I am going to continue controlling my pre-d with diet & exercise I have been keeping my fasting levels in the 70s so I am doing something right.

It could mean what you want it to mean. I think you are the only one who can answer that question. You shouldn't depend on someone telling you what it means. I wouldn't be trying to find out what it means, I would be trying to find out what steps I need to take to keep pre-diabetes from becoming full blown diabetes. Then again this is just my opinion.

First, congratulations (if that's what you were looking for).
I don't know that it would change anything for me. It's possible I got it genetically from my grandparents, but its not like its some infectious disease someone spread carelessly. Either way, you have it and it's still at a point where it's manageable. Don't know if I'd add any stress by playing the "what if" game in my head. just my 2 cents.
