Sometimes we need to share those things that happen in our bedroom at night, namely, the nightmares. Here is my most recent one…
Just got out of the shower and sat on the edge of the bed and got my 70/30 insjection ready. Everything went well until i pulled the needle out. The needle didn't come out. It stayed in my abdomen! I tried and could not locate it. I tried to think of what to do. Decided to get a black magic marker and circle the entry point. Then I thought about how to get to the ER. I was afraid if I drove myself and was in the sitting position that the needle might move. finally, I called 911 and they said they would dispatch an ambulance for transport. 45 minutes later they arrived. (Yes, that is how long it would take them to get there!) So, they transported me to the ER laying down and sent me to XRAY. They saw it on the film. They said the only way to retrieve it was to cut in and get it and that I would need to be fully conscienous. No problem, I passed out when then started and woke up when they were done.
Now why would I have a dream such as this? Well, I am cheaply creative. Can't stand throwing all those perfectly good syringes away, so earlier that day I had taken a few of them and tried to remove the needle so I could use a few of them to apply oil in tight places. Tried as I might, I could not get one loose. Had no trouble doing it in my dream!

I think anyone who uses syringes has at one time or another thought of " what if the needle breaks off." It is normal and since you were playing with them earlier, it was still on your mind, so when sleeping your mind was giving you an answer.

My dreams often combine some reality of the day and give it unique twists. Like this one, I laugh about it the next day.

Seems your mind kept working on how to remove the needle long after you stopped. That's what happens to me. I get the oddest dreams out of little events of the day. Often hubby looks very baffled when I relate the dream to him. Then even more bafled when I explain the "source of the wacked out images." (Hubby's quote)

That is pretty freaky Jim. Did you eat anything out of the norm that evening? I know if I eat anything like salami, pastrami or spicey meat/sausage in the evening i get some real strange dreams. This just started a year or two ago. Nothing nightmarish or sexual, just odd.

considering what I had done during the day, I didn't consider this to be real off base. I usually can't remember the real strange ones.
